Following the recommendation of our concierge, we reserved a table in c’est la vie.Our first impression, nice restaurant with attentive service. the view into the map allowed a varied selection. the weeping card, only French, should be considered by a sommelier again. the greeting from the kitchen, paired with salted was ok, where the supposedly salted butter was a herbe disappointment. Tasty and from the consistency this spread fat did not even remember in the most distant of butter, let alone salted. in the appetizer, 4 oysters, cannot be made too much wrong unless the product is bad, which it was of course not. the French classic, a roasted fried fried stew, followed by a tasteful good. a half lobster on petersilien root has been placed, tastefully okay, but very clear. to the conclusion followed a selection of 7 French cheese varieties, which was the absolute super gau. the hospitable, a wonderfully prepared car for the eye and the palate, with a selection of different cheeses, grapes, wallnuts, figsen and matching port and/or ice wines. as far as the illusion. the reality, a loveless, by whomever compiled selection of soft cheeses, which even exceeds each discounter with its offer. neither port wine nor grapes nor nuts have been granted to neutralize. that all set up the crown. here the word "you have to be honest" is not enough.
My partner had heard of it and went to a romantic dinner. cozy but at the same time sober environment. at the beginning we took a champagne that we accompanied with something simple but delicious bread and butter. I like raw meat, so I had as an appetizer a bark tar, with lobster and my partnerhecht as an appetizer. everything really perfect, well matched aromas and excellent ingredients. We drank a fantastic merlot and finally a sour....in short, for what I had eaten and drank, I wanted to marry him already :-). ... experience of the sense! absolutely repeat!
On 30.4.17 I visited the c’est la vie with my wife. we were in the frame of a further education in leipzig and decided on the basis of the recommendations at tripadvisor for this restaurant. we have not regretted the decision. we put together our menus from the map itself, and I decided additionally for the weeping. tastefully there was no smashing out of our own. the fried foie gras was still a bit cold inside. that should be so. we would have found them warm and very nice. the weeping was very good. the red wine to the main course was top!My dessert ( cheese selection) was very good and abundant. that dessert my wife was also good, but remained a little behind the others eating back. the support by the team was very good.Everything in all a very successful evening. we were not disappointed, can recommend the restaurant quietly and will be happy to come back on occasion.
An absolute experience. When making a reservation, they inquire about any dietary requirements or restrictions, which I personally really appreciate. The reception is very courteous, with an elegant yet humorous but above all expert approach, the presentation of each dish and the matching wine pairing (highly recommended). Two menus were available, with individual menu items that can be swapped around depending on preference and taste. Each individual dish is superbly presented and surprises with its interplay of color and flavor, and with the wine pairing, always achieves a certain aha moment. In a way, it tells a little story. This restaurant demonstrates that cooking can be an art form that is enjoyable and shows you what creativity and enjoyment are all about. It was a very pleasant evening. Thank you very much.
We visited this restaurant for the first time this weekend and were absolutely thrilled. A wonderful welcome, outstanding food, and excellent service. The ambiance, however, clearly has room for improvement. The furnishings are outdated and hardly reminiscent of France. White tablecloths and fresh flowers are also unfortunately missing, which should be a given at this price point. An investment in the furnishings would certainly help attract walk-in customers to the restaurant. We're from Leipzig and have only walked past the restaurant so far without going in or reserving a table. Nevertheless, the restaurant is highly recommended.
