Despite arriving early, we were greeted warmly and shown to our table. The menus were handed to us immediately. The restaurant was quite busy, and after a short wait, a waiter came by to take our order. I've rarely experienced such attentive service, and it's definitely a plus. Our drink order arrived promptly. The Lillet we ordered arrived a little late, but given the number of guests, that was perfectly acceptable. Our food order was taken, and after a short wait (as mentioned, it was busy, and freshly prepared food takes time), we were served. The breaded venison schnitzel was delicious, and the hand cheese was flavorful but just enough to complement the venison. The goose breast was fantastic; I'm usually very picky when it comes to goose or duck, but this was excellent. Nicely lean, but not at all dry, making it perfect for me. I especially appreciated that the sauce was served in a gravy boat. At first, I thought there wasn't enough, but even that was great for me as a sauce lover. The food arrived at the perfect serving temperature. You could tell the service was busy, they were always on the go, but at the table, they were very professional, friendly, and even had a funny remark ready. Nothing was forgotten or mixed up or anything like that. The restaurant is very cozy and looks clean and tidy. I can't comment on the restrooms, as I didn't need to use them. During a break outside, we were able to take a look at the regular menu and decided that this definitely wouldn't be our last visit. The prices are absolutely commensurate with the quality of the food, the service, and the ambiance. Thank you so much for the truly lovely evening and the delicious food.
