It was very busy that evening. During the day, paving and tiling work was in progress so we avoided the place during lunch. Traditional Sachsen recipes of meats and veg, well prepared and presented. View all feedback.

we got a place without reservation and could translate with the children again. there was mal employment for the children and eating was ok.Service friendly and waiting time still within the framework.An too much ice has been taken back without any conditions, but unfortunately it still found itself on the bill - can happen once. Overall ok, but if necessary next time. one of the many alternatives to taste. View all feedback.

17.30 o'clock. the restaurant isleer. no one could not get a place after all, everything was reserved. quite honestly: until the other guests come, we're gone. so it is possible to chase the customership.

Rustic atmosphere and food. Not barrier-free. Warm service. And we found an old everywhere popular East word again...

Because there's very tasty food here, the service is very nice. It is in the middle of Leipzig, but very quiet as this restaurant is located in the courtyard. The ice cream is also very tasty and quite cheap. So highly recommended!!!

On December 21, 2025, the two of us had lunch. We stumbled upon the charming Bartels Hof, a quiet inn located right in the heart of the old town. The inn is very pleasant and rustically furnished. Our waiter, Marvin Gr., stood out for his attentive, unobtrusive, albeit slightly nervous, manner. We ordered the Leipzig beef roulade filled with vegetable sticks, served with sour cream, red cabbage with apples, and Saxon potato dumplings for €25.00, as well as the Saxon sauerbraten (beef in red wine sauce with red cabbage and potato dumplings with breadcrumbs (large portion for €26.10. Both dishes were very good and tasty. Including drinks, our total bill came to €79.90, which is €39.95 per person. Since we were so impressed, we decided to return the following day. : On December 22, 2025, Anja P. served us again for lunch. She was also very nice, unobtrusive, funny, and pleasant, so we felt truly comfortable. Thank you! For our meal, we chose Saxon specialties from dazema, including traditional Saxon dishes and classics from Gasthaus Barthels Hof. We ordered the roasted chicken breast with cherry tomatoes on buttered ribbon pasta with basil pesto for €23.00, and Barthels ' seasonal special, pink lamb loin in a bread and herb crust with bacon wrapped Brussels sprouts and homemade fried potatoes for €32.50. Both were excellent choices. The lamb loin truly deserved the name pink, as you can easily see in the photos. ; By the way, the menu is very nice and even a little funny. Three vegetarian dishes are described here as meatless meals. The menu also includes recommended wine pairings. Simply lovely! Including drinks, our bill came to €84.10 gross, which was €42.05 per person. We gladly paid the restaurant and refrained from trying to skip out on the bill, as we had been very efficient with our meals. Thank you for the excellent service. Please keep it up! If we ever find ourselves in Leipzig again, we will definitely return. Great job!

We went to the Christmas lunch menu on Boxing Day with a reservation. We had booked 8-10 weeks in advance. Two weeks before the date, we were asked to pay in advance. €49 per person for a three-course meal without drinks. There were a lot of people, and the meal started about 45 minutes late. The soup arrived in a soup bowl, unfortunately already quite cold, only lukewarm! The second course was wild boar roast or goose leg served on a plate. Pleasantly warm, but not hot. The portion was modest; I'm not the standard, but everyone finished their plate. Upon request, I was given a dumpling with red cabbage free of charge. The third course was dessert: quark dumplings with cream and cinnamon plums. Also very small. Drinks included one large apple spritzer, one wheat beer, and one espresso. €15. I had expected something different, something of higher quality. I would visit the restaurant again, but not at Christmas. The price-performance ratio wasn't right for me. On the other hand, one has to be grateful that one can go to a restaurant on Boxing Day. Therefore, 4 stars.
