What User doesn't like about Timbre Kitchen:
The dessert was another letdown: a few baked goods served with a cream concoction that tasted like stale store-bought cakes left out for too long—dry and hard. The cream was fine but barely noticeable. While these two dishes were the worst, the others weren't much better either; I honestly can’t recall a single dish I enjoyed. It’s puzzling because everyone else seemed to be having a good time based on their reviews,... View all feedback.
Food was phenomenal.Took my family there for my eldest son’s birthday with his family. They were so accommodating of my grandchildren as well.Service was amazing. wine sensational. All local fresh produce put together in innovative ways a very memorable culinary experience … I’ll be back !!
Great. Food. Good. Service. Great. Atmosphere. Great. Beer. And. Wine
What a good find about 15min out of Launceston! Timbre Kitchen is a great little restaurant at Velo Wines in the Tamar Valley.Modern Australian food with some international influences, all locally sourced in Tasmania, with some ingredients grown on the vineyard. They only offer a set sharing menu for dinner and do the same set menu for lunch plus the option to do a la carte. So we ordered the deluxe version of the sharing menu plus we had the grilled cheese and chips.Service was on point and the dishes were full of flavour and enough for 2 people. Overall the food was delicious but there were some dishes that were a bit too salty to our liking: the roast pork, chicken dish and the chips. We can see where they were going with the roast pork and the chicken, they would have been amazing dishes if the salt was toned down just a tad bit.Standout dishes for the night were the beef crudo (similar to a steal tartare), grilled cheese and the caramel mousse with honeycomb dessert. The brussels sprouts and the cabbage with chilli oil were surprisingly good!It was a lovely start to our holiday in Tassie. If we were to come back next time, I would skip the sides and go with a 2nd dessert!
