Legana Tavern Bistro

We arrived at the last minute on a Monday evening. We ordered a tasty risotto, although it turned out to be a bit too oily, and the chicken parmigiana. We attempted to order a child's portion of the parmigiana for Adeline, since she wasn't very hungry, but it was only available for kids aged 12 and under. She also forgot her ID, so she couldn't order any wine. The James Boag on tap was, as always, a classic choice.

The staff are friendly, and the food is fantastic. The portion sizes are generous, making it a great choice for families. It's a child-friendly environment, perfect for family outings. Parking is available as well.

We had early dinner here on a Monday night, and in spite of the fact only two tables were occupied in the whole venue, we were told that our presence ‘was going to put extreme pressure on the staff’ and we needed to take this into account when ordering. (We were a group of 8 including two children). throughout our time there, only two other tables turned up, staff were running around trying to find things to do.Food took quite some time to come out, we had to check twice to find out what was going on.When it did arrive it was nice, and overall well priced.Have been here before and had much better experiences, maybe staff were having a bad night, either way you should never tell your customers it will be a problem to serve them, especially when you’re empty.
