Howeve... read more We used to visit Captain D's frequently, but we stopped going a few months before it closed due to COVID. Every time we went, the food was overly greasy. However, since it reopened, I'm not sure if there's new management, but we've been there three times now and the food is delicious and no longer greasy. The staff is also extremely friendly!

They did make a small mistake with my order, but I only realized it once I got home, so it’s not a huge issue. I did find it a bit frustrating when I asked about the prices of the children's meals, and they wouldn’t tell me. I ended up paying around $40 for three kids' meals and an $11 dinner, which seemed a bit high. Overall, though, the experience was great.

We went on one of the nights they set up the buffet, and while not as impressive as their menu, the selections were good. You had three different coating choices for fish, hush puppies, all available sides, and fresh plates when ready. The staff is always friendly and the atmosphere is calm. The restaurant is clean and ready for business every time we have visited.
