I went Christmas shopping and found this restaurant to be the least busy. Unfortunately, I soon discovered why. The prices were high, the food was tasteless, and the service was mediocre. We ordered fish and chips, sausage and chips, curry sauce with mushy peas, and a side of onion rings. The fish was average, the chips were not crispy, and the mushy peas and curry sauce were watery. read moreGraveleys, a well-established fish and chip spot, offers a varied dining experience. Some patrons praise the crisp, fresh fish and golden chips, appreciating the friendly service and cleanliness. However, others express disappointment, citing high prices, tasteless dishes, and subpar service, particularly for elderly customers. Instances of poor hygiene and rude behavior from staff further tarnish the experience for some diners. While many enjoy the flavorful offerings, the inconsistency in food quality and service raises questions about the restaurant under new ownership. Overall, Graveleys remains a gamble: it may delight or disappoint depending on the visit.
