I used to visit this place regularly, but I won't be returning. The doorman was incredibly rude and very intimidating. One of my friends was denied entry for a completely ridiculous reason, which ultimately left our entire group unable to pay after being charged the entry fee, and we weren't refunded. The doorman was excessively protective, rude, and quite aggressive. However, I want to update that Matt addressed the... View all feedback.
What Qype User (matt54… doesn't like about Fibre:
Situated next to Queens Court and with alcohol prices to match, Fibre is a decent enough bar in Leeds gay district. Very stylish decor, popular music and comfy furnishings this place is probably nicer during the day as it is when packed at the weekend evenings. Definitely worth having a look if you don't mind the odd cheesy anthem and a friendly atmos! View all feedback.
If you're looking for a great bottomless brunch with delicious food, this is NOT the place to go. We waited almost 40 minutes for our first drink and only managed to get three drinks in two hours. The drag act was entertaining, but the food and drinks were unacceptable. I would recommend avoiding this place.
In my opinion, this place is decent, but that's mostly due to my personal preferences rather than any real issues with it. The evening crowd tends to be quite young and trendy, which might not appeal to everyone, and I find the presence of a door host a bit off-putting. The decor is stylish and classy, and most of the staff are very friendly. However, be prepared for a lot of stairs to reach the (unisex) restrooms! On the bright side, they offer £2 drinks until 5 PM, followed by 2-for-1 drinks until 9 PM every day!
In my opinion, Fibre is a great spot to visit before heading to a club or another bar. It's not exactly a place to wind down after a hectic weekend (or mid-week), but it’s a fun place to hang out with friends while enjoying a solid music selection. You'll predominantly hear funky, uplifting, and vocal house tracks, with a bit of electro mixed in—just the right vibe to get you moving. Another big draw is their buy one, get one free (BOGOF) drink deal. That's right—every drink is BOGOF from 5 to 8 PM during the week. It's an absolute bargain!
Agree the music is fab! and the atmosphere. Does get very crowded. although last time we went we were turned away and told member only?!
