We stumbled upon this hidden gem while looking for a safe dining option in Leduc. It seems safety isn't a top priority in the area, but Barney's offers a secure outdoor patio surrounded by lush greenery. Located in the Best Western Plus, this restaurant offers high-quality dining at reasonable prices. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate us, despite being busy on Father's Day. The steaks were fantastic and the chicken Caesar salad was the best I've ever had, and I've traveled extensively so I can say that with confidence. The only downside was the grilled corn on the cob, which was served cold. They replaced it, but it still didn't come out hot. However, the fries were delicious and the wine selection was decent. I would definitely consider returning to Barney's if I'm passing through on QE 2 and feeling hungry.

This restaurant is not dog-friendly. Despite there being no one inside the restaurant and only one person on the patio with a dog, the management said no dogs were allowed. The restaurant is attached to a Best Western hotel. The waiter provided good service, but the food could be improved.

I was initially hesitant when I heard about Barney's and their #1 ranking in VUE Weekly as Worth the Trip: Leduc 2018. Could a small-town pub really be that good? However, I decided to give Leduc a fair chance and see for myself. I visited on a Saturday evening and was pleasantly surprised to find the pub attached to a Best Western hotel. The large pub-style restaurant had a massive bar at the center and the decor, while typical of a bar, was not too shabby. The dark wood, rock finishes, and funky vinyl booths gave the place a cozy atmosphere. Our server was friendly and attentive, ensuring that we never felt neglected during our visit. The extensive liquor menu offered a unique feature called Pour Your Own Beer, where patrons could choose and pour Alberta craft beer from a wall of taps. This interactive concept was definitely intriguing. Although I wasn't in the mood for alcohol, I was eager to try their locally sourced food. The menu, while simple, offered a variety of pub staples and homemade dishes. The H Appy Platter caught my eye, featuring ribs, wings, nachos, deep-fried pickles, and Parmesan fries. This indulgent platter was a feast for the senses, filled with delicious items that surpassed my expectations. The dry ribs were juicy and tender, the chicken wings crispy and flavorful, and the nachos, made with potato chips and smothered in cheese, were a pleasant surprise. The deep-fried pickles and Parmesan fries were also excellent, and the homemade dips added extra flavor to the already tasty dishes. Overall, Barney's exceeded my expectations, offering a delicious and satisfying dining experience.

Great place for almost anything. Waitress was very helpful, never been to a pour wall before. Food was tasty and lots of it. We shared a platter of different appetizers. Going again soon.

I had an unfavorable experience when eating here. We were a larger group (group of 8) and our waitress had just started working there. In my opinion she shouldn't have been given a large group without having assistance. Most of our food orders were incorrect altogether or mixed up. One of our meals did not come out at all and came out when we all were finished eating. The manager was very apologetic and did offer us dessert on the house for all the mix ups that occurred. The best part of Barneys I would say was the beer and wine Wall. Visiting from the states, this was my first experience serving my own wine this way. The next time I'm in town, I would come back for drinks but skip dinner.
