I find the staff to be friendly and service quick. It's in a convenient location with lots of indoor seating. But the bagels are not your typical boiled and chewy jersey bagel. They are more bread like and have a cornbread flour on the bottom that adds a crunch. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Java Joe's Bagels:
When you have no patience for the general public and make a mediocre bagel, a bagel shop on route 10 shouldn’t be your business. Waited ten minutes to order, then paid and tried to order coffee and was berated by an angry New Yorker behind the counter. Bagel was fine, but around here you’ll get better, faster and friendlier like ten feet away East or West, better and faster bagel) View all feedback.
Loved this place! Had whitefish bagel and my son had a breakfast wrap! Absolutely delicious bagels with a perfect crunch on outside. Mike and his wife were awesome and super friendly! Tons of amazing menu options and the dessert selection was amazing! Definitely check this place out !

I have been visiting this place For about a year and a 1/2. I was definitely a familiar face in there and I ordered my sandwich the scene every time. One day my total at the register came out to a much higher number than I was used to for 1 sandwich. So I was confused. Then I was told by the owner who took me to the side, that I did not order my sandwich correctly and that's why it was $2 more than usual. I told my order the same way every time I'm very clear on what I want. And His behavior got very aggressive. He made me very uncomfortabl. I paid for the sandwich and walked out. I've never walked back in and I will never appear it I was not spoken to in a normal way. It was as if I was trying to provoke the owner into a confrontation. He went from 0 to a 100 so quickly I've never been so uncomfortable in my life. I was happy to pay $7 for sandwich I had no intention of eating threw it in the garbage and I've never looked back
I have never been so disrespect. I've came to the place multiple times. I usually call at home, then pick it up on the way to work. Today I called and the person answers but asked me to be on hold. The lady put the phone down on the counter without muting me and I can hear everything shes saying. She called me lazy and said how I am probably in the car in the parking lot. I heard her call me lazy and inconsiderate almost 5 times. Then she says she was just going to keep me on hold for 20 minutes then go back to the phone!I was just being proactive in my commute to make sure I'm not late for work. At least put me on mute if you want to bad mouth me. This is not the first time this lady has been rude either.Be more respectful of you customers for the future. I hope no one else goes though what I went through today. Who wants their day to start with someone being so negative and rude. You're sometimes the first person someone sees or talks to. Try to be kinder in the first and re-teach yourself manners.
It's hard to believe I haven't written a review for this place, considering I've probably been here nearly 50 times and I live over an hour away! Simply put, this is the best bagel spot in North Jersey. I've gone through various phases with my orders, but my current favorite is the Taylor ham, egg, and cheese with a hash brown on a French toast bagel. The food is fantastic, and the people are even better. I wish I could enjoy it every day!
