Description

Nestled in a historic Victorian building, this restaurant offers a charming old-west ambiance and comfortable suites upstairs, perfect for a unique getaway. The menu features diverse options like Irish stew, portabella burgers, and salmon, with some dishes praised for flavor while others received mixed seasoning reviews. Service is generally friendly and engaging, though patrons have noted occasional lapses in professionalism and cleanliness. Pricing leans high, with some customers questioning portion sizes and extra fees. Flies and strict seating policies have also impacted the experience. Overall, it’s ideal for those seeking atmosphere and history, but food and service quality may vary.

I have visited this restaurant twice since it came under new ownership, and both experiences left much to be desired due to the demeanor of the male owner. From the moment we walked in, he was unfriendly and unprofessional, which unfortunately overshadowed the quality of the food during both visits. Speaking of which, the food was quite good for the area, and the female bartender was a highlight, being both friendly and attentive. The male owner's attitude is quite off-putting to both guests and workers. It might be more beneficial for him to focus on roles behind the scenes, like expediting food or working in the kitchen, rather than interacting with patrons. Overall, while the food and certain staff members were enjoyable, the unwelcoming atmosphere created by the male owner detracts significantly from the dining experience.

Excellent food. The fish n chips were delicious. Bad part is they have a section of the menu that can only be ordered after 4. Very odd. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

This place is a hidden gem in Lead. One of the best we've tried during our time here (visited twice). Jeanne, one of the owners, is very sweet and Marianna (new server) is a doll. Be patient (they're under newish management and still working out the kinks) and you'll be satisfied. Simple mixed drinks were very economically priced and the food was fantastic. Chislic top sirloin app was so tender and delicious, would recommend! Thanks!! Service: Dine in
