It has recently changed ownership but do not fear, it is still a lovely little place, nice selection of wines by the glass and good, fresh and tasty dishes all prepared by the owner herself.

(The middle of lunchtime in my book. But Chai Monique stays open all day. We ordered two salades nicoise. They were probably the best we’ve ever eaten. Crisp, fresh lettuce with red, yellow and green tomatoes and potatoes, green beans and, course, tuna. All topped with French dressing made by Monique that morning. Monique and her staff are friendly and welcoming. Contrary to a previous comment, we didn’t think €16.50 per salad was pricey. But then “expensive” can be a very subjective term. Highly recommended
