I hadn't been to Cafe Azteca for a few years and was surprised that they had moved but found that I love the new funky setting. Parking on Essex street is a challenge but easy just around the corner on Common. The service was THE BEST. Fabulous bartender, whose name I didn't catch but wish I did, made us feel so at home. It was great that Mary, one of the owners, also came to sayhi to us. The food was great (I had the yoga bowl with steak, super good) the queso so tasty! Also, the apple dessert wasAMAZING warm, wrapped in phyllo with ice cream on the side. It was a great way to kick off the weekend. I'll be back!
I?ve only been there for breakfast but it?s really tasty, as well as reasonably priced. Lots of interesting coffee options as well. Also, love the chill, relaxed vibe of the place. If I had to add a con it would be that parking can be a challengeduring weekdays.
Great food, reasonably priced and friendly service. Called our order in, had a 10 minute wait upon arrival but met a very hospitable server who sat and chatted with me at the bar with me while I waited so the time flew by. Had the yoga bowl withsteak and chipotle chicken to go. Both were great. Learned they have specials every weekend so ask for those when you come.
We have always loved the food at Cafe Aztecs. Because of COVID, haven't been there in a couple of years. Unfortunately, in that time, they moved and the new restaurant is not as warm and no authentic Mexican artwork. The food is still amazing and theservice is very friendly. They have the best mole sauce in the world!
