We were greeted by Courtney who showed us to comfortable chairs beside a warm radiator. This was welcome because Storm Jocelyn was brewing outside. She took our drinks order and brought the menu board which was extensive. She explained that we could order full portions or smaller ones. We both decided to have the breaded haddock, one full portion and one smaller. We chose well because we could find no fault with our meal. Fresh haddock well cooked is hard to beat and it was. The chips were perfectly done and home made coleslaw and salad were delicious. We both agreed that we had to post a review with our positive thoughts. Well done Lauderdale hotel and Courtney. In... read more During the busy Easter weekend, we decided to dine at this establishment. The wooden tables outside were filled with people enjoying drinks and the sunshine. Inside, there is a bar area as well as a restaurant area. The menu features very traditional, delicious food. We ordered the fish and chips, and the fish was fresh, flaky, and substantial. We also tried some desserts: the Easter egg cheesecake was fantastic, and the bread and butter pudding was amazing, with generous portions. The staff was friendly, and we didn't have to wait long for our food. Overall, it was good value for money.

I started wi... read more We chose this restaurant because they welcome dogs and we are glad we did. The food is of high quality with generous portions at reasonable prices. I started with mussels from the specials board, which were superb. For my main course, I had fish and chips, which was a huge, thick piece of fresh haddock that was cooked perfectly. My brother ordered the baked cod from the specials board, and I must admit I was slightly jealous because it looked so good and he said it was amazing. Overall, the restaurant may not be fancy, but it serves very good food for a satisfying meal.
