I started wi... read more We chose this restaurant because they welcome dogs and we are glad we did. The food is of high quality with generous portions at reasonable prices. I started with mussels from the specials board, which were superb. For my main course, I had fish and chips, which was a huge, thick piece of fresh haddock that was cooked perfectly. My brother ordered the baked cod from the specials board, and I must admit I was slightly jealous because it looked so good and he said it was amazing. Overall, the restaurant may not be fancy, but it serves very good food for a satisfying meal.

I expected a very limited men... read more We were renting a cottage close by and had dinner here twice during our stay. The food was great, we had absolutely no complaints. I expected a very limited menu (like the other pub in the village) but was pleasantly surprised by the amount of choice. Would highly recommend it for a meal or just a drink. Dog friendly too. Staff were all very nice and extremely welcoming.

Chose this venue in preference to the Black Bull Hotel down the street. No regrets at all. Great atmosphere and attentive staff. 10/10

Warm dining room cum lounge bar with plenty of light. Friendly courteous service from start to finish. The menu is standard stuff cooked properly and served attractively. Everything we had was tasty and properly served. We had soup, chicken goujons 9outstanding) followed by steak pie, fish and chips and lasagne. Rounded off with ice cream and an eye watering cheese board. Great value and well worth stopping off here for a bite.
