Feedback
Mixed reviews: Seasons Borders earns praise for warm service, atmosphere and some excellent dishes, but guests note occasional inconsistency in cooking, lighting and temperature.
During our second weekend break in Gattonside within 6 months we were delighted to return to Seasons for dinner on 2 of our 3 nights in the area. This is a truly exceptional, relaxed, informal small restaurant serving top quality food cooked to perfection by Roger and served with cheery, courteous efficiency by Bea. Right up there with the very best !
Just had dinner here, food was amazing very warm welcome from owner, great relaxed atmosphere. Will definitely be back
We had another amazing meal last night with delicious local food that was beautifully presented and right at our doorstep. Thank you to Roger and Bea for a wonderful dining experience.
Absolutely delicious food and excellent choice of wines. We feel very lucky to have discovered Seasons at last. We shall return especially when the family visit from China. May just say that thinner wine glasses would enhance the drinking experience. Thank you for a special evening.

If you’re celebrating something special, mention it when booking—staff have a habit of surprising guests with off-menu little treats or a complimentary tiny pudding or amuse-bouche when the house knows it’s an occasion, a quiet local custom that regulars love.
