I had ordered two Reuben sandwich... read more I ordered food to go, and the wait was quite lengthy. The person taking my order missed a few items, which added to the delay. I had ordered two Reuben sandwiches, two lunch combos, and a dessert, and the total came to nearly $80. While the food tastes good, I don't think the papusas are worth that price. Additionally, although my combo was supposed to include a chicken tamale, I received a corn tamale with no meat instead. They were closing soon, so maybe they had run out but didn’t inform me. The restaurant isn’t particularly upscale, yet the prices are steep. The atmosphere tends to be quite loud as well.

We eventually stopped going because, in the past, they would stay open until around 11 PM, which provided a perfect opportunity for those of us living in Lathro... read more We eventually stopped going because, in the past, they would stay open until around 11 PM, which provided a perfect opportunity for those of us living in Lathrop to unwind after the stress of commuting and working in the Bay Area. However, about a year ago, they started closing at 8 PM, which didn’t leave us enough time to relax and enjoy our evenings. It’s disappointing to see Platanos close, but I hope the new Mexican restaurant will keep later hours. I wish the new owner the best of luck in their new location!
