Salud! offers amazing vegan dishes, creative cocktails, an extensive wine list, and contemporary decor all in one place. The service is excellent as well. The food is exceptional - I always have a tough time choosing what to order. Today, I tried their new Monte Christo and I was absolutely amazed by how creatively it was prepared. Unlike the traditional Monte Christo sandwich, this dish consisted of two globes filled with ingredients and topped with blueberry sauce. Surprisingly, the dish was not overly sweet thanks to the savory ham balancing out the flavors. My husband opted for the fish and chips, which exceeded our expectations. The fish was tender with a crispy coating, complemented by Salud's famous fries. The tartar sauce had just the right amount of kick to it. Don't forget to try the prickly pear mimosa! The staff is always friendly and the owners clearly take pride in offering delicious food at affordable prices. Salud de Mesilla is a must-visit spot for food lovers on a budget.
