Bolillos Cafe North - Laredo

Great food, great prices, and a lot to choose from. They even have their own bakery! Yummm...

I recently visited Bolillos for the first time with some friends, and I was amazed by the wide range of food options available. I tried the Bolillos with egg and beans, and it was incredible! The flavors were super delicious and authentically prepared. I can't wait to return!

This restaurant always exceeds my expectations. My aunt recommended it to me, and I've visited five times. Each visit has been perfect—the food, service, and atmosphere at Bolillos are all fantastic. I highly recommend it!

Google categorized this place more as a bakery than a café, but upon further research, I found out it's also a diner with a strong emphasis on breakfast. Upon entering, we were warmly welcomed by the staff and promptly seated by a fantastic server who was happy to answer all our questions. The venue was clean and well-lit. We placed our orders and received them in a timely manner, with our coffee being constantly refilled. The food was excellent—light and not heavy or greasy. The portion sizes were very reasonable for the price. However, I couldn't give a full five stars because the music was way too loud, and the restroom facilities didn’t quite meet the standards of the rest of the establishment. I also tried a pumpkin empanada from the bakery; unfortunately, it was quite mediocre, featuring a somewhat bland pumpkin filling wrapped in tasteless dough.

First time eating at Bolillos North. I ordered the caldo de res and my friend ordered the Pozole verde. The caldo de rez was plentiful and tasty. It had fresh vegetables and lean meat- I think this is why I feel that it needed more beef taste because the meat was too lean. My friend said she liked that it had lots of shredded chicken. She said the green broth had great flavor. The only thing that she didn?t like was that it was warm. It could?ve been hotter. Ambience was nice& clean. The service was attentive and friendly.
