Cora - Langley
Cora
Description
Cora in Langley offers a bright, family-friendly take on the classic diner with fresh-fruit-topped breakfasts, generous portions and creative twists on morning staples. Service is friendly and efficient even when busy, and the open, graphic-walled setting feels reliably casual. Expect good coffee, takeout and delivery, but arrive early to avoid waits. It closes at 3 p.m., can be noisy during peak times, and prices are a bit higher than smaller local spots.

What do I say about Cora? She opened her little restaurant in Quebec about 25 years ago and locations seem to be popping up all over the place. Setting is open and basic, feeling like your typical chain breakie joint. I think the feeling is meant to be your friendly, reliable neighbourhood diner offering the standard breakfast/lunch fare. The big draw is the fresh fruit. I have to admit it's a treat to have fresh strawberries and watermelon mid-January. And I like how the menu has pictures! I personally think it's pricey for what you get when I can't help but compare to local joints back home. They do strive to offer efficient service. And it's almost always busy. With only a few good options in Langley (Porter's, Hot&Toasty), this is a reliable choice for simple diner-style breakie/lunch (and much better than any of those American chains).
Great alternative to Denny's Lots of different breakfast options to choose fromKid friendly!I've already planned to come back to this location for my friends Birthday!
Excellent breakfast in Langley!!! Very unique french menu and very tasty! My new favourite breakfast place in Langley. Also the service staff are extremely friendly :
Came here for brunch with a friend. I arrive around 11 and there was a 20 minute wait so I recommend that you come early to avoid the line. Food was wonderful, ingredients tasted unique and the serving is very generous (couldn't even finish my crepe) my total was around 17.50 which was worth it considering I was so full afterwards. Because it was busy, staff did seem stressed but maintained a happy and helpful service. Atmosphere is similar to IHOP with a lot of families and not as quiet as you'd hope.
Love the walls adorned with colorful graphic food images and the service. We went in for breakfast and were not disappointed. I had the veggie grilled cheese omelette without the bacon which was supposed to be a sandwich by I requested the bread to come on the side and the gigs to be given separately as an omelette. They gladly obliged and this came with a side of roasted potatoes. The brown bread was thick and delicious when topped with their whipped butter. The pancakes were simple and amazing with their maple syrup. I did wish for some whipped cream and strawberries but I'm sure you could order for those separately. Overall stays true to its Canadian name.
