It’s such a shame that a restaurant (especially a second rate franchise) would turn away customers with service animals in 2023.I would advise that if you are not a Canadian citizen, or have a service animal, you avoid this store as you will be turned away with the owner making up stories about no animals allowed despite the anti-discrimination laws that are in place that state the exact opposite.Perhaps if everyone goes there, takes there service animal, and orders just a glass of water, they will be taught a lesson.My family and I are happy to take our money elsewhere, to shops that appreciate our support and abide by service animal laws.
We have been to a couple locations now which is a good thing because if this was our first and only experience, unfortunately we would never come back or try another location. We have the all you can eat fish as per usual, which we normally really enjoy and are impressed with. Unfortunately this location is fish was heavily battered compared to our previous experiences, as well as being overly greasy. It made the fish difficult to eat as it was hard to taste anything beyond the grease itself. The excess of deep-fried batter also made them appear larger than they were, the fish was only inside in the middle, while both ends of the fish were just empty batter. The batter itself was also much thicker compared to other locations. The restaurant itself was not busy at all during our time here, yet our waitress was extremely unattentive to our table of two. Multiple times she would walk by, looked in our direction and not acknowledge us. We had to flag her down several times to either get refills of our drinks or even ask for a couple more pieces of fish. The only thing I can say positive about this location is that it will help us to keep going back to other ones as we can now appreciate those ones ' quality that much more.
Nice place and delicious food BUT the lady over there was looking to the dishes each time she come!! I ordered all what you can eat) i gave a one peace to my mother just to try it she came and said just wanna let you know that no sharing are allowed OKKK?!!!! In a such tone of voice it’s shame especially my mom ordered a salmon dish which is the most expensive dish they have so she even don’t care about the peace that I gave anyways I hope they will write this information on the menu so the people know that instead of coming and telling that on the table using that tone and I appreciate if they tell their employees to stop looking to the customers dishes in a such wired way.
Server was so hostile and rude. First she said you gotta eat the batter too not just the fish that we paid for. The batter was so oily and soSecond time she came back to our table she made sure to really make our dine in experience the worst.I ordered a dinner salmon plate and my wife ordered the all you can eat. We were almost done eating and I was cleaning the table to put the batter back on the plate. I never shared nor eat the cod and was just cleaning it.But the server was so hostile telling no sharing and there's so many rules in all you can eat. This was the second time she was lecturing about the rules are. She was always looking at our table constantly and it was so uncomfortable that they made us feel like we were stealing.Felt like thief and we just said we are done eating because she's relentless.Don't eat here again if you want the servers and managers policing you while you eat.
Been going to C-Lovers for at least 10 years now and the quality has always stayed the same. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the cod tastes fresh, and I always leave happy with a full belly. Parking wasn’t an issue as there were a good few spots open within a minute walk from the entrance. Don’t underestimate the size of your plate before ordering-they don’t cheap out on portion sizes. Definitely come here if you’re wanting fish n chips, I highly recommend.
