An visiting Indian friend had an appetite for Indian cuisine and he was looking for a specific meal which he did ordered. He was very pleased with his meal and commented it was very authentic and served the proper way. What Rashawn Jones doesn't like about Ashoka:
I can't recall exactly what we ordered but I do remember that butter chicken was one selection. The flavor is good and the cost very moderately priced. Parking along Fraser Highway during business hours can be a challenge View all feedback.
Excellent food , great services the family kids loved it . First timer and planning on making more trips back .
Food is delicious, staff is fun and reliable, drink prices are great, it's a top date night pick for going out or taking out and eating at home.
We had a family dinner here celebrating a family birthday. They had an extensive menu (maybe too many selections) with something delicious for all appetites and good prices. Their Roti and Naan bread are fantastic. Their wine list was limited when we went, but it looks like this has improved. Best Indian Food in the Langley Area.
We've been to Ashoka once for dine in and two times for take out in the past 3 months. Every time the food was excellent. The flavours were rich and remind us of one of our favourite Indian/African places in Vancouver (Jambo Grill) Unlike a couple of the negative reviews, I can't say we've had any issues with the staff or food as two or three have noted. The staff have always been polite, our food was ready in a timely manner and the portions were generous. It's nice to enjoy a good meal and then have enough left for a light lunch the next day to enjoy all over again! The dine in experience in the restaurant is pleasent and quaint. We've tried a number of the curry, biryani and rogan josh dishes. Will be back many more times and this is now our favourite Indian restaurant in the Langley area.
I love Ashoka, it has been one of my very favourite restaurants for years, and I still prefer to go there despite having moved to Vancouver. (I just haven't found a place in the city that I like nearly as much! Their dishes are the ultimate comfort food, with so much variety, flavour, and quality to all that they offer.
