I'm from out of town and this seemed like a reasonable place to go for breakfast. I had a standard three cheese omelette, hash browns, and English muffin. Everything was cooked perfectly, the server was amazing both times (I came back one more time). Pricing on the meals was way below what I've come to expect in today's day and age. Thank you!! The Oxbow is attached to a motel on Lander's main drag. It has many signs hanging on and near it proclaiming the great food so I had to try it. I was so very disappointed. The host that greeted me as I arrived was clearly overwhelmed and stressed out about just where to seat customers. This was not a good sign of things to come. I like a fast, basic breakfastThe Oxbow fits that billWhile in Lander this week, I went there twice for eggs, bacon and hash browns for $7.00.
Traveling through in our RV, not many places we could pull Motorhome into. This place has a big enough parking lot (next to hotel) that allowed us to park in back so we could stop in for a meal. Greeted by Vicky our waitress she was very helpful in pointing out things on the menu we might like. All great choices. Our meal was good, priced just right, restaurant was clean, with lots of old fashion atmosphere. I had them add green chilies to my sandwich (being from New Mexico) that is always a winning combination. We were happy with the customer service Vicky provided would definitely stop in again it passing through. This place was definitely an local favorite.
Food is good, but service is not the best. Our appetizer always seems to come out with our entrée instead of before, and this time, i watched it sit in the window for 10 minutes before our food was ready. The last time I ate there, I ordered a Cajun rubbed NY strip and mashed potatoes with brown gravy. I received a plain NY strip with a baked potato. Also, the server forgot our drink order and returned 5 minutes later to ask again. Service: Dine in
