Lancelin Cafe & Pizza

The boards cost twice the price when they're doing the dunes, and he's gonna charge $50 per board and then the shop is closed when it's the agreed time to return their board. then he continues to take $40 out of our $100 deposit. because he wasn't there to return the cold. he was a rude, aggressive, unpleasant little man. ruined our whole weekend, which was amazing to this point. they stay well clear of this business. nice that I didn't try it on the basis of the other reviews.

Had a nice selection of almost food. the hot dog with the works was unique and very tasty. the chips with the nuggets were generous.

Avoid them. we ordered the lobster pizza and fish chips. pizza was terrible. hardly a topping on pizza, except for excessive quantities. was like a large layer of congealed melted cheese, terrible. pizza should have lobster on it (and was. at $39) but you could only find minuscal amounts of it hidden under the cheese. unacceptable for the price, especially given the favorable price and the easily available lobster in lancelin at the moment. fish and chips seemed to be boiled in used oil.

Waited a hour and a half for 3 pizzas when told on the phone when ordered that it would only take 20 minutes. Stood in the store for a hour and 10 mins. They did not tell us that it would take that long when...we payed. And when I had asked how much longer after almost an hour they said they were in the oven which I could see that they weren't. When they finally did come out of the oven they sat there while the owner was having a beer chatting to a customer. They young staff were working hard and it was a long weekend but they could've just told us when we ordered on the phone that there would be such a long wait or at least when we went in to pay so I wasnt standing there for so long. Pizza's were average and definitely NOT worth the wait!

A lunch time holiday meal for 4. Large thick pieces of well cooked fish, one per person. Slightly greasy but not enough to put you off your meal. Boxed chips, not my favourite way to serve chips with fish and certainly means you get less...chips but they were tasty and a lovely and thick variety. Not the best fish and chips I've had but certainly not the worst.
