The Lancelin Bay Restaurant

Cafe stop when diving the coast road from Perth to Geraldton, and made the stop here after checking online what was about. Perfect pick outdoor shady garden, chill coastal interior and artful touches. Good coffee, nice food and really pleasant staff. Excellent find and...will definitely call back in on the way back.

We got lunch here in the way back from Pinnacles to Perth. My wife had chicken burger and I steak burger. We enjoyed the lunch very much. In addition, we could got a great view of Indian Ocean. The manager of the restaurant took us...to the sand dunes nearby. The dunes were beautifully white. We went up one of the dune and found it’s hard to do so on foot. First experience for us. Don’t miss this restaurant when you have a chance to stop at Lancelin

We arrived at lunch on a Tuesday in early June. The place was deserted (just like the rest of WA with just one couple sitting outside. We were warmly greeted and had a lovely chat with the lady serving. After ordering we sat outside...and enjoyed the beautiful views and surrounding. Sadly the food didn’t quite match the service or setting. Our beef burger and chicken burger arrived very quickly which always concerns me. Some of the salad with the chicken burger was tired and past it. Never a good sign and doesn’t inspire confidence not sure why chefs allow meals to go out with salad that is obviously not looking good. The onion rings were huge but very greasy. Chips were good. To be fair, both burgers were pretty good and sizeable, though nothing special. We were told that the place had been exceptionally busy as it had been a long weekend. My partner commented that “perhaps we’ve just had the leftovers”. All in all, a bit of a shame. Perhaps we were just unlucky as other reviews are mostly positive. Give it a try and make your own mind up.

Ordered meal and picked up on time, servings were a good size, fresh and well cooked. Would recommend
