Stopped in here for lunch over the Xmas weekend. Good fish and chips and friendly staff. Hubby had a sauvlaki; it wasnt a real Greek one but ok. We went back the next day for dinner; desent pizza. Prices were ok. But it is a takeaway so if looking for a proper dinner there are other places in town.
I go to this stop every once in a while and it used to be great and now since owner change the chips are terrible quality and there is less for your money too. you never even have dough for pizzas, never have chickens, and even when you do have those they are disgusting, The romsey fish n chips is 10x better and so thinks everyone else. trust me it's a short drive to romsey and you'll find better food there
I found myself in a lovely accommodation in Lancefield without food and without a car! I had originally planned to eat at the restaurant at my accommodation, but it was closed. So, I called Lancefield Takeaway, and Rob, the owner, kindly offered to deliver steak sandwiches and more. Unfortunately, I didn't have any cash on hand to pay. However, Rob went above and beyond and offered to pick me up so I could get cash and pick up my food, then drop me back at my accommodation! I just finished a delicious steak sandwich and some freshly cooked chunky chips. Thank you, Rob! This is what country hospitality is all about!
Friendly staff. Had a simple fish and chips mixed pack with my husband, it was good food and pretty good prices. The staff were friendly and couldn't do more for us, gave us info on a B&B close by and told us about the markets tomorrow. Will go back tonight and try the pizza.
Great food and friendly staff...typical of a small country town. My husband and I were on a road trip from Canberra to visit hanging rock and we called in here for a break. Lovely man working behind the counter cooked a great pizza and hamburger. Would recommend for some great food and good service :
