Was Prudol at Elaine's Tearoom a mag?
Off the beaten track but well known in wider circles for excellent food. I ate here today with friends, we had booked thankfully. A lot of passing walkers come in just for coffee and cakes. The staff are all welcoming and friendly. There is a basic menu of snacks, cakes and drinks but also a 'specials ' menu of more substantial Yorkshire meals. We all chose from the latter and the food was excellent, well presented a... View all feedback.

What kimbotoad dislikes about Elaine's Tearoom:
Disappointed with breakfast, the bacon seemed to be deep fried and was hard. The sausage tasted cheap. Egg was overcooked. For the price I expected a much higher standard. The service was good and the cakes looked lovely and I would certainly go back for coffee and cake. A little gem of a place in a lovely setting. Such a shame about the breakfast. View all feedback.

We have dined at Elaine's multiple times for a quick meal, but this was our first time visiting for Sunday lunch. The restaurant was bustling, so we were grateful that we had made a reservation (highly recommended for Sundays). Both of us decided to try the roast beef dinner, which was absolutely delicious. The homemade food was lovely. We saved room for dessert, with me choosing the lemon cheesecake and my wife opting for the plum crumble. We enjoyed our meal with a generous pot of Yorkshire tea, and even took some cake to go for later.

We have visited this restaurant several times during our walks for cake and tea. Today, we tried the roast for four followed by dessert. It was the best Sunday roast we have ever had, with generous portions and perfectly cooked beef. The price was also reasonable, so we give it a perfect 10 out of 10.

Just visited Elaine's and enjoyed a lovely homemade cheese and onion quiche with homemade chips and salad. The waiting staff were really attentive. Great value for money, will definitely return
