The food was absolutely deliciou... read more We had an amazing meal at this restaurant. We ordered Singapore Chowmein, prawn crackers, and chips with a side of curry sauce. The food was absolutely delicious, the staff were very friendly, and it was great to see the staff preparing and cooking our meal in a clean and well-organized kitchen. Special thanks to the chef for a fantastic meal.

All other food (which we had A LOT of) was absolutely delicious!! 20 out of 10!!

It was nice to see the food qualifications, awards, and cleanliness certificates displayed on the wall. All the food we tried tasted fresh and delicious. For starters, we had spare ribs, vegetable rolls, and fantastic seaweed. The main dishes of lemon chicken, chicken curry, and fried rice were equally delicious. We can't wait to order from here again!

We also frequently order smaller meals and have always been satisfied. We highly recommend the duck and pancakes or the Special Chow Mein at China Essence. Thank you!

I was on holiday to South Lakeland Leisure Village and we had this Chinese meal on our last night, what a big mistake that was, as it was absolutely amazing! Shame we didn't try it earlier in the week. I'm going to have to visit Carnforth again for the Chinese! I'd recommend the shredded chicken in chilli honey sauce and the Singapore noodles.
