This is a place I visit for time to time, the Soups are so unusual and full of flavour.Even if the place is full walk round the block it is worth the extra exercise. This time I went for Soup and full sandwich and to be honest it is a heart lunch. Steak Pie Soup was fantastic and so rich. Sandwich generously filled and lovely side salad. The coleslaw was extremely creamy.Staff always helpful and will chat if you want the chat. The only downside is it is small place but like I said worth a walk or extra shopping then revisit. If you have room after the lunch the cakes are beautiful.

Was recommended to go here after visiting for the day, the outside of the building is not very inviting but it is nice inside. There were two tables left when we went in, and the group in front were deciding what table to have for most room as they wanted a highchair . The member of staff said to them will they hurry up and decide as people were waiting, not in the nicest manner. It is a bit cramped. The food however was very nice. Would i go again, probably not, because of the curt manner of the staff.

Very small cafe and not much room between tables, we shared a table with someone else on this occasion. The food is good, very hearty portions and cakes are yummy. Service efficient. On the whole a nice wee cafe.

Absolutely love this place. Have been with the family, my mum, friends and everyone has always loved it. Not your run of the mill menu. Amazing variety of soups, nice specials, good choice of sandwiches etc. Great home baking with a selection of slices and a few cakes which are also often unusual flavours. Have been so many times and always love it.

Took my 2 year old for lunch, very accommodating and made a half sandwich portion for her. I had the coronation sandwich of the day which came with a generous tasty salad, really lovely!Staff are very chatty and really welcoming. Cake selection is outstanding, all freshly made! My daughter had one as scoffed the lot!Would return!
