Really good quality food all rou... read more Visited this pub on a sunday early afternoon for lunch. I was on the lookout for a great Sunday Roast and was not disappointed. Really good quality food all round with quality ingredients. Customer service was excellent and friendly/helpful at all times. They also managed to seat us early with no issues which was appreciated. As i said, food quality was great. I went for the beef topside roast, meat was superb and cooked perfectly for me. Pots and veg also very good as gracy and yorkshire pudding spot on. My partner went for the burger which was also excellent. Great location and interior. I suspect this is a perfect location on a cold wintery day. Highly recommended and thank you.

We ordered a ston... read more Great welcome, and choice of seating in a specific area. Waitresses were mostly very good; some were unfamiliar with some aspects of the menu. We ordered a stone bass, butter beans and chorizo stew and my friend has a smaller version of the fish and chips( which is technically a children's meal). All good. We ordered cocktails but some well known cocktails were not on the menu and once I asked if they did a Mojito they served it..my friend had a Sauvignon..delicious and refreshing. When it came to the meal, this was comical. The smaller sized (kid's menu fish and chips) came out first which was hilarious but also got me thinking, don't children want to eat with their parents, all at the same time? I had to wait for my meal at least 5 minutes later and a waitress informed me of this but when the guy served it he didn't even say, sorry for the delay and just rested the bowl on the table. My friend waited for me to receive my meal before starting so it did end up cooling down a bit..the main drawback. Other than this, it was a pleasant experience in a classy presented pub and for a Monday evening was quite busy..
