Nice restaurant, just alittle pricey. Butter chicken was average, all other dishes I've tried there were very nice.

We looked at the online menu before heading to Desi Hutt Lakemba. Price in the current menu doesn't match with the online version. And even the picture uploaded online for Sidhi Kebab completely different to when we got our service. The staff was prompt to take the order and bring the food that's the only positiveness. There taste of the food we ordered (tandori chicken, sindhi kebab, muragh chana, Peshawari naan, paratha) none of them justify the minimum taste while the price is high compare to other similar restaurant.

Went to this place since we dont get pakistani food in new zealand...i must say it was the worst decision ever. . Ruined our holiday....we went for their 'breakfast special' halwa puri... the quantity was not even enough for a 2 month old baby despite us ordering 2 portions...yet they charged us as if we were dining at the Grand Hyatt....please save yourself the stress...

Before I start my review, I want to clarify that I had visited Hariss Park branch of Desi Hut and not the one in Lakemba.All the North Indian food ordered, on two different visits, was authentic and and delicious in taste. Even Kulcha with Chole were freshly backed. All the non-vegetarian and vegetarian food was very delicious. North Indian Chat deserves special mention. Staff is very friendly and service was good.
