excellent service. it's so rare to find stellar customer service nowadays, but that's right @shells! our server was up, friendly, attentive and prompt. the food was delicious! we were quickly served, the commands were correct. Being pregnant ready to eat my dinner. Arriving home opening up my food to realize that they forgot to give me rice. The rice is part of my meal I was looking forward to this and had been craving it for while. Finally getting this just for it to not come complete a little disappointed. Food was very poorly cooked we sent it back 3 times still couldn't get it right restaurant was very dead for a Sunday we have been told it really went down the hill parking lot was dead we should have known better but Brandon's is still good keep up the good work Brandon.....lakeland give it up so embarrassing Food: 1 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3

Omg y’all have got to try shells if you love seafood! Used to go with my man but decided to go with some friends from work on Sunday . Food is absolutely great!!! The shrimp pasta and crab cakes was the best. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30

So sad to hear that this location closed. We were regulars and visited several times a month. This was our favorite seafood restaurant in Lakeland. There always seemed to be plenty of patrons and the service and food were great, so not sure what happened.
Went here for dinner on Saturday night for the first time in many years. Our waitress Donya was super friendly and attentive. She brought out drinks and took our appetizer order promptly. Once the food came out she kept our glasses full. Dinner was yummy and I'm sure we will go back. This location is 100% open so I'm not sure why yelpers have listed it as closed.

We decided to visit the local shells restaurant after having a great experience at the St. Pete Beach location. We went on a Tuesday evening and were seated immediately. Our only complaint is that we felt the portions could be slightly bigger. Other than that, our dishes were excellent! Food rating: 4/5.
Went today with family for lunch. Donya was our server. She was fantastic, very sweet. She was checking on us regularly. Brought our food out quickly and kept our drinks full. Food was delicious. Will go again and hope to get Donya as our server again.
Excellent service and I like the atmosphere. Food was brought out quickly and was good. I had a bowl of their clam chowder and it had more clams in it than I've ever seen. The flavor was good. I also ordered the shrimp pasta. It was good and had plenty of shrimp. For me, neither of these dishes were what I would call home runs but I would order them again. However, my wife had the coconut shrimp with coleslaw and red potatoes. When it comes to coleslaw, she can be very picky as she makes great slaw at home. She loved the coleslaw here.Also she really liked the shrimp stating they must make it here because it's not like the frozen coconut shrimp she usually gets served. She also thought the red potatoes were very good. Overall this was a good experience and the bill, including a beer and ice tea came out to $46 incl tax. We left a 20% tip as our waitress was very good.
Always pleasant service and the food is excellent. I always have the baby lobster and fettuccine which is scrumptious
One of the best seafood dinners I've ever had! Fantastic clam chowder. Had the blackened grouper with Big Easy sauce. Veggies were delightful. You could tell that everything was made from scratch.Service was great the hostess found us a booth with very little wait. Our server helped me figure out what to order invaluable when trying a new restaurant! The manager stopped by to check how our meal was you could tell he was sincerely interested not just doing the circuit of the room.I had a wonderful sangria with dinner. There is a bar that looked interesting but we didn't stop on our way out.Really looking forward to the next time we're in the area. We'll be stopping by again! One of the times when trying a new restaurant on a whim led to the discovery of a treasure.

Amazing service, prices and eat! everyone was very friendly and attentive. my mother and I really enjoyed our mother's lunch here.
Our server is the best! kinsa is always friendly, smiling and knows the menu. I will ask them every time I eat at shells. the eating comes hot not warm, the roasted clams are the best I ever had, eating comes hot fast, so I will give shells 5 of 5 stars!
Taken care of by Mike who gave very hospitable service.Kid friendly as well.I dined in with the fresh catch of the day, which was Mahi Mahi. I ordered it blackened. Food came not to long after my order was placed. Everything was fresh and hot.
