Puck's Pub - Lake Bluff
Puck's Pub
Description
At Puck's Pub, patrons can enjoy a lively atmosphere with friendly service, making it a popular spot for sports enthusiasts. While some menu items, like the Bavarian pretzel and Buffalo chicken sandwich, receive high praise, others fall short, with certain dishes being criticized for poor preparation and lack of flavor. Despite mixed reviews on the food quality, the establishment is commended for its drinks, tap takeover events, and live music. Notably, the staff's compassionate service during private gatherings shines through, showcasing their commitment to customer care. For a casual outing or game night, Puck’s can deliver, but culinary consistency remains a concern.

The wings were satisfactory. We ordered three orders of small wings which came to over $50. Unfortunately, they were missing several items listed on their website, including fries and any sides other than chips, which was disappointing. The bone-in wings (Buffalo and lemon pepper rub) were pretty good, but the boneless wings (bourbon BBQ) were not breaded and disappointing. The waitress mentioned they were in the process of updating their menu, but it was unclear why basic sides were unavailable. Overall, I do not think I will return. Update: We ended up going to the McDonald's nearby to get fries instead.
I was a bit disappointed with my experience at the new location of this restaurant. The burgers were good, but not as great as they used to be at the old location. They are now double stack but lack the special something that made the old ones great. The restaurant was pretty empty on a Sunday night, but the TVs were excessively loud, which was quite distracting. I decided to upgrade to the loaded tots for $3, but the server brought them out separately and charged $9 as a (small) appetizer, which seemed like a miscommunication. Overall, I can no longer highly recommend this place.
My first time here was a year ago and I was served a raw chicken sandwich. Had no intentions of ever coming back, but decided to give it another shot. I Shouldn't have came back lol, the food here is barely edible. Come here for the Alcohol, you'll need it if you're going to eat their food
All seven of us had their beef bomber Was great , sad part was no fries but they did have Tots Service was good we had our food in 15/ 20 minutes The Bartender was great and she was very personal I think they are connected to Donatis pizza lake bluff Who makes the best Detroit pizza in the north shore And let me add they have great wings .I showed my ID and they gave us a military discount . I liked the atmosphere and they had plenty of TV's We will definitely go back !
