The Shamrock Inn - Lahinch

The restaurant is located in Lahinch and has a good location. There was some confusion about whether we were staying in the hotel or the Atlantic hotel next door, as they seemed to be connected. However, our room was comfortable, if slightly dated in decor. The full Irish breakfast was delicious. We did have a small issue with faint ghost music, a medley of 60's rock and roll, that we could hear in our room. After speaking with Reception, it was determined to be piped music into the renovated restrooms, which was affecting room 18. The issue was resolved quickly and everything was peaceful again. Lahinch is a great town with a beautiful beach, where we enjoyed watching the surfers. Overall, we would recommend this place.

My 91-year-old mother and I had booked a stay for 2 nights before a family wedding. The owner noticed us in the car park and, before we even checked in, came out to assist my mother. He realized that she would not be able to manage the stairs in the hotel, so he immediately transferred us to a vacant ground floor holiday apartment in the building next door (which was owned by the hotel). This accommodation change made a huge difference in our stay and gave my mother peace of mind. We truly appreciated the owner's thoughtfulness and assistance.

I had a fantastic experience at Lahinch! Everything is conveniently within walking distance. The staff were exceptional, especially the waitresses and Declan! The value for money is excellent, and both breakfast and dinner were of a high standard. I would definitely recommend it!

It’s also not really their fault, but I wonder why Main Street hasn’t been pedestrianized yet. It’s not pleasant dining with dirty cars passing by, along with the noise and air pollution. I might choose to go to Randaddy's on the beachfront next time. At one point, a lorry parked nearby with its engine running for thirty minutes, which definitely detracted from the experience. They could easily unload without keeping the engine on.

We dined here for two evenings, and both the food and service were outstanding. The staff was excellent, and all COVID-19 precautions were followed without any problems. I highly recommend this restaurant without hesitation.
