Chef's secret blend).I had the Namesake burger (Zacks Burger) with the beef patty and obviously I upgraded to the house fries. Trust me, you want the upgrade, unless you have a business meeting afterwards! The garlic aioli is intense! Perfectly suited to the crispy but not overcooked fries topped with freshly grated Parmesan, the aioli just makes them irresistible. If you start with the fries, set a reminder to save room for the burger.The burger is perfect. A well seasoned patty layered with all the right fixings. Crispy bacon, ripe tomatoes, red onion, thick cheddar slice and of course butter lettuce! There's a slight kick from either the house sauce or the burger patty which is welcomed and helps marry the rest of the flavors. Let's not forget the brioche bun, grilled to a crisp edge, and not dense or overpowering. Ms. A. offered engaging and efficient service.The lounge is cozy with a choice of booth, tables, or a seat at the bar. I chose to sit at the bar and met Mr. C. who is one of the owners and was one of the bartenders for the evening. He was friendly,very interesting, and a great service provider.But it 's the food! Their fried chicken is the best I have ever tasted a crunchy delight with a hint of Korean fusion. Excellent. I experienced this chicken in a sandwich called, The Absolute Unit. Truly a taste explosion on a fresh Ciabatta.I can understand why this lounge has so many repeat customers.Zack 's Lounge is gem in the beautifully, inviting town of Ladysmith.
