We had to wait in a long line for food and then another long line for drinks. It was frustrating to be directed to a second line after we had already waited over 15 minutes at the single register to serve the customers ahead of us. Eventually, we found a spot to sit after waiting about 25 minutes for two bottled beers and some chicken tenders. We ended up at a picnic table that didn't have a view of the water but instead faced a rooftop trash pile nearby. I didn't eat the food because it didn't look very appetizing. The beer was cold, and the patio was pleasant as long as you were facing the right direction. The staff was helpful and worked hard to keep the tables and seating area clean.
I called to place an order for four seafood platters but only received three, and one of them didn't come with fries. I paid $83.93, and when I got home 35 minutes later, I found I had received five scallops, very few fries, and a plate missing haddock, which was replaced with a side of clams instead. When I called to address the issue, the person who answered was quite rude. I won't be returning and definitely won't recommend this restaurant to anyone!
We enjoyed sitting on the pier with a beautiful view of the water. My husband ordered the fish and chips, but it was mostly fries with just four thin fish sticks—more chips than fish, really. If you want a proper portion, I’d recommend the 99 in Tilton, where their fish and chips are much more generous. Fortunately, my steak bomb was huge, so I shared it with my husband, who felt a bit shortchanged. With the price of beef and fish nowadays, I’m not sure what happened—maybe they were low on fish that day. The scenery was lovely and the service was excellent. We might come back, but next time we’ll both stick to the steak bombs to be safe!
Anthony's Pier was an enjoyable dining experience. Located at the end of the pier, you pick a table and then take your table number to place your order. While we ate, we enjoyed watching the tiki boats come in. The menu offered simple dishes, but everyone was satisfied with their meal.
