I went with my girlfriend yesterday. Chef Daijo is really friendly, and you can feel the passion he puts into his work. The Golden Week menu is absolutely delicious and worth the price! I highly recommend trying it!! Price per person: ¥9,000–10,000 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Just had the best food encounter on our trip to Japan. Daijo is a must do experience if you are in Kyoto. There was only the four of us tonight in the restaurant which only seats 10 max. Daijo does all the cooking and the service expertly. At AUD 100 for six courses it really is excellent value for the quality. Had some great Australian and French wines available for under AUD 50 to accompany the food as well. This place is excellent highly recommend. We had a lovely dinner at this very small intimate restaurant which has only 8 seats around a bar. The chef makes all the dishes, which use fresh seasonal ingredients. The food is French with a Japanese twist. I would come back again!
Eating at Dajio's is one of my most precious memories from visiting Japan. The food was delicious and Dajio is a chef with a great talent. We were impressed with every single dish and left very full and satisfied. Not your traditional Japanese food but organic, homemade and Japanese ingredients in season were served. Very small and intimate we loved it! A hidden jewel in Kyoto!
