Was Mimi's Party Palace at The Winfield Inn a mag?
The venue is absolutely stunning! We had a wonderful experience working here as wedding coordinators alongside our fantastic team. We look forward to returning soon, as it was a pleasure to be part of such a beautiful setting. Clients are welcome to bring their own vendors, which is great. This was our second wedding for the same family, and we’re glad they have more than just one coordinator on staff. View all feedback.

Place for events (I'm getting a wedding), it's fine in mild times, probably only spring and autumn to be comfortable

The owner, Leslie, became difficult to contact and it took over a month to get a response. We only heard from him when my husband reached out. Besides Leslie, there was no other staff on site, except for a handyman who was surprisingly helpful in answering questions and meeting us for walk-throughs. Leslie often made negative comments about other brides and would tell my husband, "This is her day, not yours." As we moved forward with the planning, unexpected costs began to arise due to his lack of staff. Unfortunately, the contract was vague, leaving us feeling like we were being nickel-and-dimed during negotiations. On our wedding day, things escalated further. Leslie called me, quite agitated, about our plans for handling trash after the event. My sister referred him back to my coordinator, as this had already been discussed. Within 20 minutes, I received an email trying to charge us a fee that he eventually decided to waive. When we arrived at the venue, it was a mess—dead grass, a water leak in the groom's "suite," and a dirty pavilion where our reception was held (my mother ended up mopping it). To make matters worse, a guest even pointed out a dead bird on one of the beams. The bathrooms were filthy, and the house where we prepared had not been cleaned either; my mom had to clean there as well. It was unacceptable. Before the wedding, I had asked Leslie about cleaning for the venue. He assured me that he had a housekeeping staff that would clean the house and pavilion after the Friday night wedding. However, when I confronted him about the cleaning issues, he quickly shifted the blame to the bride from the Friday wedding, claiming she was responsible. I find it hard to understand how a wedding venue operates without professional cleaning and expects another bride to handle it. And yes, he referred to her as the "Friday bride," not the "Friday wedding." Leslie's defensiveness and lack of any apology left us feeling thoroughly disappointed with our choice of venue. I hope this review serves as a cautionary tale for future brides considering Winfield Inn.
