Five Guys - Kyle
Five Guys
Description
This restaurant offers a range of burger options, some patrons appreciate the customization and quality of the burgers, noting attentive service and cleanliness. However, many customers find the prices steep, with meals often exceeding $20 for a burger, fries, and a drink, leading to disappointment regarding portion sizes and taste. Complaints include soggy buns, overly salted fries, and inconsistent cooking. While some rave about the burger's flavor, others suggest alternative burger joints that offer better quality for less. Overall, the establishment struggles to balance quality and value, leaving many diners skeptical about a return visit.

They were open a little early so we were able to get lunch. But for 10-15 per burger, 6 bucks for fries that were too salty to eat it was a waste of food and money. I do not feel well after eating there. The place was clean and the staff were nice at least.
While their burger is a little better than other fast food options, they are simply too expensive. Also, it is two thinner patties, so they can cook them faster, when I prefer one thicker patty cooked right. Texas Roadhouse and Longhorn can give you a pickup-ordered burger that is better in this price range, but the clear winner for quality per dollar is Mighty Fine, which just opened in Kyle. They have a couple of other stores up north and I was happy to see they opened one done south.
After spending over $60 for a meal for two parents and two kids (consisting of four small burgers, one bag of fries, and four drinks), it is surprising that this place is able to remain open in today's struggling economy. The prices were extremely high and one can only hope that the staff is being compensated accordingly. While the food and service were good, it is hard to justify spending over $60 for what we received.
