We tried a variety of dishes from the menu including the asparagus appetizer, chicken and pasta, and the catch of the day fish, all of which were absolutely delicious. The staff was very friendly and all spoke excellent English. We will definitely be returning!

Th... read more After walking around Odderøya, we stopped at Teateret for some drinks. We enjoyed relaxing in the sun outside and later decided to have a light lunch inside. The open sandwiches were tasty, as was the Gateau Marcel. Tommy provided excellent service. We will definitely return to Teateret next time we are in Kristiansand S.

So I was looking forward to this visit, and was surprised that it was so disappointing. We were a group of 5 who wanted to enjoy a meal before going to the cinema. We had plenty of time (2 hours), but because of slow service, we only had a main dish. We waited a long time before we could place the order (and were not offered to order drinks when we arrived). We actually had to ask if anyone could take our order, in spite of the restaurant being less than half full. Nobody came to our table after serving the food. We had planned to buy more wine, dessert and coffee, but we were not able to order and run out of time. Even the payment had to be done in the bar. The chicken confit was ok, but the liba bread was tough, and I couldn't eat it. The Poké Bowl was tasty. Unfortunately, I have nothing to say about the desserts and coffee.

I will defini... read more I would highly recommend this restaurant. The food is excellent and the atmosphere is great. It's a favorite spot among locals for quality dining. I will definitely return next time I'm in Kristiansand. I can't stop thinking about their delicious Beef Bærnes dish. I may even come back to Kristiansand just to dine at Teaterets restaurant.

All of them was very good for the price. The service is excellent. Have been here for coffee, concerts and drinks as well. Definitely worth a visit :
