Description

Nestled within the Grand Hyatt, Stevenson’s Library promises a remarkable sushi experience, acclaimed for its creatively crafted rolls and fresh seafood. Diners rave about the cozy, library-like ambiance complemented by ocean views. Signature options like the Lobster Dynamite and innovative desserts such as Tiramisushi have garnered praise. While the attentive staff, led by friendly servers, enhances the dining experience, some guests noted slow service during busy hours. Despite slightly high prices typical of resort dining, many have declared this the best sushi on the island, making it a must-visit for both hotel guests and sushi enthusiasts alike.

We are staying at the resort and made our reservation about 12 days in advance of our stay. Based on reviews, we were really looking forward to Stevenson?s sushi. Unfortunately, the strong, fishy smell outside inside the restaurant put us off of, butwe didn?t let it deter us. We had lobster dynamite, ahi, stevenson roll, and a couple other rolls. We requested all on soy paperbut received them all with seaweed. Not a huge issue but not how we ordered them. The sushi was not great?fine, but not greatunfortunately. Ambiance bar itself are cool, but we wouldn?t return. Dinner was costly, and not even close to being greatsushi. Sad.

Location, interior, food service and staff everything is perfect. Beautiful view to the ocean, life music, excellent cocktails, the atmosphere was awesome. A few words about food, unfortunately it does not reach the level of the restaurant, Iunderstand that salmon is most likely transported from the mainland, but tuna should be as fresh and tasty as it possible. Iordered O toro and Chu toro, the most tender parts of the tuna, but they weren't as tender as should be. I expected that tuna inthis level of Hawaiian restaurant is much higher quality than on the mainland, but this is not so.

Not too many reviews on google so we were not too sure whether we should go or not. The sushi was so nice, it felt fresh and healthy. The style and vibe was great too. Your water is filled up and the waitress was attentive. It?s a treat to go here butworth it. Plus the cocktails were pretty high end.

Good selection of spirits. Sushi was all very good and good atmosphere and views. Worth noting that there are no real entrees here. Mostly just sushi/sashimi and apps. All of which are very good, but if you're expecting to see the entrees that you wouldsee at a tradional Japanese restaurant you'll be disappointed.

Gorgeous restaurant, solid menu, and excellent food though I found the menu to be less expansive than expected. One point of annoyance was the awkwardness of staff interrupting our meal to remove plates, even though other diners at the table were stilleating. That?s amateurish service and is out of step for a restaurant with Stevenson?s reputation and price point.
