Contribute FeedbackThe restaurant offers a beautiful view of the evening atmosphere over the water, but the food and drinks were not convincing for many reviewers. Some highlighted the Brussel sprout appetizers as the best part of the meal, while others found the Quinoa bowl to be a sad disappointment. Vegan options were appreciated by some diners, but others found the vegan dishes to be lacking in flavor and quality. The breakfast menu received praise for its amazing taste and food, with options like avocado toast and omelettes being highly recommended. The service and food quality seemed consistent over the years for some regular customers. Overall, the restaurant offers a variety of dishes, with some highlights such as coconut shrimp, prime rib, and clam chowder, in addition to vegan options like Beyond burgers and pad thai. The oceanfront view adds to the cool atmosphere of the restaurant, making it a pleasant dining experience for many customers.
... eating and drinking were not convincing. we were thrilled to get a nice table with a beautiful view of the evening atmosphere over the water. this place seems pretty busy. I would say that the Brussel-Spieß-Appetizer were the best part of our meal - very well seasoned. I personally thought the pad thai was better than expected, but it seemed very sweet and how it was made with a busy chili sauce. the quinoa bowl was a sad disappointment. do not let me start on the drinks. I appreciate that they even offer vegan options and that it is possible to have a full three cursor meal (with the mango sorbet, which was actually quite good). However, the quality of the food and drink was simply not convincing and definitiw not worth the price. I hope they will be better in the future.
We loved burning! we ate a few times. the personal is very nice and accommodating. they have vegan options and will even adjust the menu without problems. they have beyond burgers, edamame, spicy brussel sprouts, pad thai and tabouleh salad with quinoa bowl all as vegan options. the atmosphere is very cool with a sport and nfl football theme. I liked it so much that I even bought a hat! we sat once in the bar and the staff was super fun.
The vegan items are a reflection. the quinoa Tabbouleh dish was not at all what the menu described (the ingredients lack from what the menu, completely different plate) and had probably sitting in a refrigerator for a few days. the veggie wrap (we added beyond patty) was perfect but boring. I do not recommend coming here if they can come to leahi or russell instead.
Brennecke's is a seafood restaurant that has vegan items on its menu. While not plentiful, I am always grateful when there is more than one vegan item. In this case, one has to choose an edamame appetizer (which has a sesame flavoring from the quick stir fry), a vegan pad thai (absolutely delicious with a perfect hint of heat) and a Beyond Burger. Service was exceptional. Happy hour (3-5 pm) consists of lower-priced appetizers and great drinks. Update 4-10-2022: Kudos to Brennecke’s! They have added more vegan options- Cauliflower steak (substitute double vegetables for the mashed potatoes which is made with dairy), tofu scramble for brunch, Family grown greens with Tofu, Tabbouleh Quinoa bowl, Veggie Spinach wrap. The Cauliflower steak is cooked well with a slight al denté consistency over hummus and topped with a delicious hot sauce. I recommend it without reservations. Pad Thai was so sweet. Was basically noodles with prepared chili sauce.
