The menu was simple and a little expensive, but we wanted to try a bit of everything, so we opted for the breakfast buffet. Totally worth it. Everything is fresh with a great variety. Theomelette station was a hit for sure. There are even seafood options for those who are wanting that. Heck they have littlespecial shots of health juices!

Sure, it has most of the regular items available but they’re there in name only. The made to order items look nothing like the stale, overcrowded, overcooked trash in the chafing dishes. I tried a couple of things and theytasted as bad as they looked. To give one shining example: the eggs Benedict had a slice of deli slice of ham on it (1/2 mmthick maybe) instead of a thick slice of Canadian bacon. All I could taste was bread. The egg was not poached and was overcooked. It be one thing if the buffet were cheap. It’s not. It’s 41 dollars, while made to order items cost half that. Not to mention, a 1k minimum per night hotel should have complimentary breakfast.

They give you an entire pot of coffee on the table and it was actually really good coffee. The loco moco was amazing with the demi-glacemushroom gravy. Buffet highlights were the skillet omelet, blueberry pound cake, French Toast and the papaya seed dressing.

BUT the menu was uninspiring and a notch or two above your basic retirement community food... I'm speaking as someone who was a GM and owner of a boutique hotel for 15 years: The GM of this hotel obviously doesn't inspire thestaff to have a heart for service in any way, shape, or form. The staff fail to connect with the guests, they've turned aroundand are headed away from a table with zero connection to the guest. I watched a group of people who were looking for thisrestaurant speak directly to two staff members who just kept talking and walking without a single concern in the world for theguests, they totally and utterly ignored them. The ownership group for this hotel should replace this GM *yesterday*. Where isthe connection to the guest? Where is the surprise and delight? It costs zero and makes truly memorable experiences. Trulysomething this GM should be ashamed of, and truly why they should not be in the hotel business. Such missed potential.

Compared to the other places we have ate at between kawaii and Maui this is extremely cheap. The food was amazing! Amazing food and live music! I really enjoyed eating hereon our honeymoon!
