We have lived on Penang Island for 3 years so we know some of the best Asian food in the world, and you cannot walk around Penang Island awarding Michelin...stars as This style of food changes every day. However Taku is different. Although it is Asian in origin, I would not call it Asian, but modern cuisine. The food is superb, the chef’s skill at arranging and matching of flavors is delightful. Everyone should experience this restaurant.

I had two glasses wein (not the pairing) and they were very tasty but poured. free from the bottle and during the price was reasonable at €10.5, I felt as if it were only 4 ounces each time. I love tasting menus and this one was not taken. service was really good and very attentive. I enjoyed the taste of eating and how to add the various items in each cure. it is expensive, so I only say for special occasions.

We enjoyed the 6-course menu, plus several amuse-bouches, for 3.5 hours at Taku. The price is reasonable.

The service was okay, but the constant upselling was annoying, and the waitstaff kept changing. We're used to better than other restaurants, especially considering the price per person was around €400 (including wine). Overall, rather disappointing.
