This would have been ok but I can't believe the cheek the waitres... read more Came here as I love chicken, but was underwhelmed by the dry chicken that was served up to me. This would have been ok but I can't believe the cheek the waitress gave me and my wife. I had not complained about the meal as it was edible but not something I would sit through again. I asked for the bill and the unkept woman (who was unsanitary to say the least) gave me a good going over for not telling her I would like to pay by card before I asked for the bill. I get walking back and forth might be annoying, but using common sense, one would ask how the customer would like to pay before hand rather than shout at the customer. Anyway better chicken can be found with friendly (clean) service a walk away at Brüssler. I really wouldn't bother at 'Rock Pit'!

At the restaur... read more Came here to eat on a Sunday evening after ordering from foodora when it first opened and finding the chicken good, but the burger underwhelming. At the restaurant I ordered avocado chicken. It was dry to the point of inedible, felt like eating chalk and I genuinely couldn't eat even half of it. The skin was tasteless and rubbery, the restaurant was very quiet and the chicken had obviously been prepared a good while in advance and left to sit and dry out. The waitress was unconcerned to the point of rudeness when I mentioned that the chicken (which makes up a significant half of the entire menu) wasn't edible, didn't make any efforts to reconcile the situation and instead suggested sarcastically that I 'order the burger next time'. I'm fairly confident after this that there will not be a next time. There is very little space in Cologne's varied and vibrant gastronomy scene for inconsistent, underwhelming and unconcerned establishments. If you're looking for decent chicken, there's a much better place at Brüsselerplatz, go the extra few metres to pay less for much better quality and service.
