Freunde türkischen Essens werden auf der Weidengasse oder Keupstrasse mit Sicherheit authentischere, bessere oder gemütlichere Restaurants finden. Aber das Planet Oriental bietet eine in Köln sehr rar gewordenen Dienstleistung an: eine Küche, die bis spät in die Nacht geöffnet ist. Das Essen ist völlig okay - und es gibt Wein.Daher immer wieder gerne.

Nachts. Nach dem Scheppern auf der Friesenstrasse oder generell auf den Ringen..ein MUSS für den nächtlichen Hunger. Die 53 ist Weltklasse! Freu mich aufs nächste mal.

We came here for lunch today. The restaurant is comfortable and warm. The Chef was very flexible with our individual orders, which was nice.The lentil soup we had as a starter was a bit bland, but the chili flakes and salt on the table fixed that problem. The meat of my mixed grill was very tasty and fresh.Definitely worth a visit.

Die Karte sieht gut aus, es riecht gut, das Personal ist schwer beschäftigt. Nun einmal drin es sieht aus wie die Kantine bei der Arbeit aus. Gross, unpersönlich, ein Fernseher drönt, die Leute sind laut, da vergeht die Lust Gutes zu essen.Nur für späten Stunden.

Its a surprise that we were so much luckier than others who have been here before. Ok, our visit was on the late noon so it wasnt that busy yet. We got some warm bread and followed by Karisik Meze Tabagi, Iskender Kebap, icl. Baklava for the dessert at that rather modern restaurant.The venue was clean, tidy and the staffs were friendly even to lil kid.So everyone who wants to devour some Kebab or any turkish delight in a cozy flair (werent there in the middel of the night or after clubbing time) do give this place a chance.
