The starter with the marinated sheep's cheese cubes and the mussels, which came in various portions, were delicious. Reason enough to gradually try the rest of the menu. The service was also excellent. We'll gladly come back.
We dropped in on a Tuesday night because it was still open and we wanted a beer. Since most of the bars on the way to Raderthal close early, it was great that Hönninger was open later. We were pleased that they had Köstritzer on tap, something you almost never get in Cologne. The average clientele was around 30, so younger than usual at the bar. The atmosphere was also young, very friendly, and professional. It was a nice evening.
Last time I was there was over 20 years ago. There weren't any waiters back then. But the place has survived, and for good reason. The atmosphere was as always, simply lovely.
Update 02.01.2025: We've been coming here regularly, once or twice a week, for years. Great latte, delicious food, and nice people!
