Service was appalling:not busy at all but we had to wait for ever to get a menu, and then 25 minutes for the bottle of water to be delivered to our table. Meanwhile, the owner schmoozed with patrons while tending to none of the unknown comers. Food was good, but my dish arrived a good 10 minutes before my partners! When I asked for a description of the wine, I was told "It is good. Do you want a bottle?" I responded that I was torn between 2.... and was looking for a bit more information. So she waved over her chef (owner), who basically said the very same thing. "They're both good ones, that is why we have them on our menu." Service was friendly but unattentive. A true schiky-micky laden, as the locals call such a Wanne Be place to be seen. For the price, I expect better service and someone who has a clue about wine (sommelier), or an owner who shows appreciation for his new (potential) clientele.

From the tomato soup to the rump steak to the tiramisu, everything was perfect. Claudio and his daughter are very friendly hosts. We would love to come back and highly recommend the restaurant.

When... read more If you want to eat at Claudio's, you should know that this is a superb Italian restaurant, something for people who recognize and appreciate perfect food. When making a table reservation, which is mandatory, you should discuss what you would like to eat right away. There is no menu. Claudio cooks what he thinks is best, using fresh ingredients and based on what he has discussed with his guests. The quality is incredibly good, and the ambiance is correspondingly pleasant and appealing; a feel-good evening is guaranteed. His style of cooking does not allow for any vegan dishes.
