Unlike many pub in Germany this place has a pretty awesome selection of beers, and also a pretty decent beer garden as well. However what put me off the place was how rude the staff were. I really didn't like the atmosphere one bit. Willing to give it another go, but doubt I'll be back in Cologne for a while.
I dropped in for one beer but left with a few more :) They have a wide variety of beer on tap or out of the bottle. I personally would recommend the icebock if they still have it!
Nothing special. Gets crowded easily. Maybe with a big group this place might but fun but not a must see.
I visited this place despite the poor reviews as I enjoy beer of all types and felt it might be educational. It was... though not in the sense I enjoyed. The only really interesting beer was not available and the barman with poor grace served my Wife and myself our second choices. My wife's beer was grand but mine tasted like Washing up liquid flavoured Beer of some kind. I would normally ask for another beer instead, but the dismal atmosphere and Grumpy Service persuaded me that finding another venue was a much better option. Avoid. There are plenty of good places to go in Koln. Don't waste your time here.
