pity the Rib Eyes Steak has gone out of the menu, as it is ingenious and the best steak I have ever had!!!. What A James dislikes about Jacobs Well:
Messed up our booking. Didn't try to accommodate us or make any effort to sort out their mess. Would have just left however it was a Sunday lunchtime and couldn't go anywhere else. We had to go to the other end of the restaurant and rearrange tables to find a solution. Really bad when the customers have to do the manager's job. Cute pub find! Very attentive and warm staff. Got a cute table by the lovely log fire! Amazing food and the bakewell tart is a must! We will be back! Thankyou
Fantastic. Went in for a Roast on a Sunday afternoon. Wonderful service, and the food was just amazing. Probably the best roast I have had from a pub. Definitely recommend. We shall be returning!
This pub was my first visit, arrived too late for lunch, however the owner went out of their way to make a sandwich and fries with side salad. The staff were very helpful and friendly, and went the extra mile.... Needless to say will definately be going back again.
We visited on Sunday afternoon , Christmas eve , the pub was busy .our party of six were seated efficiently ,our drinks order taken and delivered promptly , the food order was taken and our choices was served promptly , the food was excellent , the waitresses did an excellent job , as usual, and the bill was reasonable at the end , thanks .
Unfortunately, there were other issues during this visit. Two of us ordered the turkey dinner and while the vegetables were decent, the turkey was clearly processed meat and did not resemble or taste like real turkey. Is it too much to expect real turkey meat when ordering a turkey dinner? I highly doubt I will be returning to this restaurant again.
