The atmosphere and the service were impeccable. my wife had the hake and I had the lamb for the main course. delicious and the braut for the first cure was wonderful. the wine list was very good.
I had an incredible culinary experience tonight. I haven’t been back in kinsale since 2019 and max’s has always been popular for years. my head was the venison and it was spectacular. I had dessert too! thanks to ann marie and siobhan for excellent service and an entertaining night!
We chanced our arm without a booking and were delighted to get an early sitting. The staff were extremely friendly and very helpful. The food was delicious however the squid was a bit on the tough side, not uncommon with squid. If you asked me would I go back then the answer is a definite yes.

Get to Max's for great food with uncanny attention to detail. The mother daughter service just do charming. Mom was tough as nails and a blast to talk to and daughter was so sweet!!
